NHLR
(NOISE INDUCED HEARING LOSS REGULATION)
Throughout the facility there are areas that are designated as “high noise areas”. These areas are well identifiable with signage. When you enter an area designated as such, you shall wear ear protection. The ear protection is available at the store or at OHS managers office. If you are found not to adhere to this regulation, steps could be taken against you.
Hearing loss is serious. If you lose the ability to hear clearly or lose the ability to hear less sounds, it is normally permanent and cannot be reversed. PPE is available and there is no excuse not to adhere to this regulation.
