EMERGENCY PROTOCOL

FIRE

  • Make alarm, call, and inform bystanders, have emergency services contacted

  • Source the correct firefighting equipment to deal with threat

  • Use the equipment to control or extinguish the blaze

  • If the fire is under control or extinguished, report incident. Call investigator and take photos

  • If you cannot control or isolate the blaze, evacuate to the nearest exit

  • Move to the evacuation point and give all possible information to senior members.

  • Do a head count to see if every person is accounted for. If not, inform management

  • Assist injured workers

EVACUATION POINTS

  • In front of mechanical store

  • Head Office                                      

  • Gate 1 electrical room area

  • Packaging                                         

  • Gate 1 electrical area or mechanical store

  • Production unit 2                             

  • Container storage area

  • M-Junction                                      

  • Single gate at BJK

  • Lab/BJK/HR                                     

  • At weight bridge

  • Production unit 3                             

  • Weight bridge

When the need arises to evacuate due to any emergency, stay calm and:

  • Swiftly walk via your nearest exit point to the evacuation point (do not run)

  • Stay at this point until instructed to move or it is unsafe

  • Assist injured employees to exit building

  • Be counted and inform management if you know of someone inside

  • Report injured or unaccounted employees to management

  • Get medical help if needed.
